Tom's Christmas gift list

With Christmas fast approaching, its time to start thinking about gifts for friends and family. This year we decided to ask Hitfar’s employees to see what Hitfar products are on their Christmas Shopping Lists. First, we reached out to Tom Richards who is lucky enough to get to test lots of new gadgets on a regular basis while working as Hitfar’s videographer and photographer. After all, how is he supposed to make our Product Spotlight and WITB videos without having used the products in the first place.

Tom is flying back to the UK for Christmas, so we grabbed him before he left to see which of the Hitfar products he bought for his friends and family back home. Here’s what he had to say.

The House of Marley Get Together Bluetooth Speaker

House of Marley Get Together Bluetooth speaker

I loved this product the second I pulled it out of the box. With its unique bamboo looks and incredible sound quality, the Marley Get Together is the perfect speaker for using around the house. Its big enough to fill a large room with crisp sound and deep bass, so it works great as the main speaker for a house party but can also be used outdoors on your decking for those summer night BBQ’s. Although this will be a gift to myself, it means I will be able to share my music with all my friends.

Nanotips for leather and rubbers

As a keen mountain biker, I often find myself riding with gloves. While they keep your hands warm in the winter, I also wear them all year round for better grip on my bars and to reduce the damage to my hands when I inevitably crash. The only downside of this is that I have to constantly take my gloves off to check my phone when I am out riding. That’s why the second product I will be buying this year is Nanotips.

Nanotips is a liquid formula you apply to the fingers of your gloves, allowing you to operate your smartphone without the need to remove them from your hands. Its easy to apply, quick to dry and works exactly as it should. This is a product I will be buying for friends I ride with.

Xqisit Power Bank

Xqisit 10400 mAh portable power bank

Aside from mountain biking, I live a pretty active life and I am constantly on the go. It might be a weekend off grid staying in a remote cabin or it could be a camping trip to Tofino, BC. While its nice to get away from the internet for a couple of days, you still want to keep your phone on hand and charged ready to go so the Xqisit 10400 Power Bank becomes the perfect travelling companion. With both a 1A and 2.1A USB output, the power bank can fully charge an iPhone roughly five times or simultaneously charge a smartphone and a tablet. On camping trips this summer my power bank was always being used to charge my friends’ devices and never had any power left to charge mine, so the Xqisit 10400 Power Bank is on the shopping list for my friends. I also grabbed one for my parents who have finally upgraded to smartphones but grumble about how the battery life is bad compared to their old phones. They also often go camping so a power bank is the perfect gadget for charging both their devices on the go.
